Our Story

Alice and Ashton

met in the Fall on 2017. Ashton just purchased her home in Arroyo Hondo, and Alice was hired to alise the walls in the master bedroom. Alice and Ashton became acquaintances. During the fall of 2018 Ashton and Kirsten hosted an adobe workshop with Alice on Alice's land in Arroyo Seco. The workshop was a complete success, and Alice and Ashton developed more of an acquaintance-friendship. At this time both Alice and Ashton were in relationships with other partners. Coincidentally both of those relationships ended over the Christmas Holidays in 2018, and opportunities to date others opened up in 2019...



That Summer

Alice and Ashton kept bumping into each other - EVERYWHERE. At the store, at restaurants, over and over again. They thought the universe must be trying to tell them something! Upon one chance encounter at Cid's grocery store, Ashton asked Alice to go on a river float with her and some mutual friends. On the float trip, Alice and ashton got to know each other better, and a spark was there!

A few weeks later Ashton asked Alice to come over to her house to help with some repairs. When it came time to pay Alice for her work, Ashton couldn't find her checkbook. Alice suggested that Ashton take her out for a meal instead. Ashton agreed, but neither Ashton or Alice were sure this was a date. Ashton took Alice to the the Treetop Lounge, and they talked all night! Neither wanted the evening to end. They proceeded to see each other almost everyday after that until Ashton left for Bali to get her YTT.

That Fall

Ashton and Alice face-timed everyday while Ashton was in Bali. Alice planned to meet Ashton in Thailand, and they spent an amazing 3 weeks together. When Ashton got back to Taos, they were pretty much inseparable. Ashton moved in with Alice, her three daughters, Kalila, Raziah and Zenaida, and their two cats, Mittens and Whiskers, in the Spring of 2020. Of course, we all know what 2020 was like! And while it was a difficult time for everyone, Alice and Ashton feel like they've become closer and their relationship has only gotten stronger! They can't image their lives without one another.
